Summary
Substitute Teacher Service is currently seeking a Hall Monitor to join our team at Garden Spot High School. This role is essential in monitoring student movement and behavior throughout the day.
Essential Functions:
This position involves a wide scope of responsibility. Essential functions include but are not limited to:
- Monitors student schedules to ensure the students are in their assigned location at appropriate times.
- Informs appropriate school personnel of ongoing student behavior and behavior related issues.
- Demonstrates and maintains a positive attitude.
- Encourages students to maintain expected standards of behavior, displaying appropriate respect towards others.
- Escort and assist students to assigned classrooms/areas.
- Informs administration at once of any infraction of district rules by students. May include preparation of action forms or reports if appropriate.
- Maintains compliance with, and enforces, established discipline policies and procedures.
- Reports students who are performing illegal acts, refusing to comply with procedures, causing physical danger to others or being defiant.
Qualifications and Required Documents (clearance date range may vary by District):
- Pennsylvania Criminal Records check (Act 34)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance History (Act 151)
- FBI Criminal History Record (Act 114)
- Proof of a TB test or chest x-ray (dated within three months)
- Proof of Education – Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Additional STS Onboarding Documents
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:10-2:40, Follows Student Calendar
