Before We Jump In…

Hi 👋🏼 I'm Megan! 😊✨

First off, thanks for taking a look.

I know there are a lot of job descriptions out there competing for your attention, so I genuinely appreciate you spending a few minutes with this one. I've spent a lot of time getting to know the hiring leader and understanding why this role exists. What stood out to me is that this isn't a "fix what's broken" opportunity. The business already has meaningful momentum. The opportunity is helping scale what already works.

As you read through the role, my hope is that you get a clear picture not only of what the company is looking for, but also of why they're hiring and what they're trying to build.

And if you happen to see yourself in some of what follows, I'd love to hear from you.

Either way, thanks for stopping by, and best of luck in your search.

MJ

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a rapidly growing, founder-led subscription business that has already solved some of the hardest challenges in scaling a company.

Customer acquisition is working.

Retention is strong.

The recurring revenue model is proven.

The question isn't whether the business can grow.

It already is.

The opportunity is helping build what comes next.

Over the next several years, the company plans to launch new products, enter adjacent categories, expand its customer base, and invest heavily in the technology, data, analytics, and AI capabilities required to support that growth.

That's where this role comes in.

We're looking for a Head of Information Technology & Digital Growth who can help build the technology, data, AI, and digital capabilities that will power the next chapter of growth.

The ideal candidate understands how modern digital businesses scale. They know how to connect technology investments to customer acquisition, retention, product expansion, operational efficiency, and enterprise value.

They're excited by AI, automation, analytics, and building things that create measurable impact.

The business already has momentum. The opportunity isn't fixing what's broken. It's helping scale what already works and building the platform for what comes next.

What am I actually looking for?

  • A growth leader who understands subscription businesses.
  • Someone who has owned acquisition, retention, product launches, funnel optimization, agency relationships, and digital growth initiatives inside a high-growth environment.
  • Ideally, you've spent time in DTC subscription, telehealth, consumer health, pharmacy, wellness, or a similarly complex customer acquisition business.
  • You know how to scale what already works.
  • You can zoom out and think strategically, but you're equally comfortable diving into campaign performance, retention data, attribution challenges, conversion bottlenecks, or launch plans when needed.
  • Most importantly, you're a builder. The business already has momentum. The opportunity here is helping take it to the next level.

The Role

The easiest way to describe this position is that you'll sit at the intersection of technology, data, AI, digital product, and commercial growth.

On any given week, you might find yourself:

  • Partnering with executive leadership on long-term technology and growth strategy.
  • Evaluating where AI and automation can create leverage across the organization.
  • Improving visibility into customer acquisition, retention, subscription performance, and business outcomes.
  • Working with product, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to improve the customer experience.
  • Helping launch new products, services, and digital capabilities.
  • Assessing whether existing platforms, vendors, and systems can support future growth.
  • Building the structure, processes, and team capabilities needed for the next phase of scale.

This is not the type of role where success comes from sitting above the work.

We're looking for a player-coach. Someone who can operate strategically while remaining close enough to execution to help move the business forward.

You'll Probably Love This Role If…

  • You're the person people call when they want to know what's possible with AI.
  • You've experimented with agents, automation, LLMs, or AI-assisted development because you're genuinely curious.
  • You view leadership as building teams, not managing people.
  • You've launched things simply because you wanted to see if they would work.
  • You believe small teams with great tools can outperform much larger organizations.
  • You want a meaningful seat at the table and the ability to influence the direction of the business.

To be qualified for this role, you must have the following:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience across technology, digital product, engineering and data analytics.
  • The ideal candidate has experience operating inside digitally native businesses where speed, experimentation, automation, AI, and rapid product iteration are core competitive advantages.
  • Experience supporting customer acquisition, retention, subscription growth, digital product development, or other commercial technology initiatives that directly impacted business performance.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention, subscription economics, customer lifecycle management, and digital customer experiences.
  • Experience building and scaling technology teams, systems, and processes during periods of rapid growth.
  • Strong technical fluency across modern applications, digital platforms, APIs, cloud environments, analytics ecosystems, and emerging AI technologies.
  • Experience evaluating agency performance, digital channel effectiveness, technology investments, and vendor capabilities through data-driven decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect technology strategy with measurable business outcomes
  • Experience evaluating and managing technology vendors, agencies, and external partners
  • Proven player-coach leadership style with the ability to move between strategy and execution

What Signals Will Get My Attention?

Not every strong technology leader is the right fit for this role. Technical expertise matters, but we're ultimately looking for someone who has helped scale a digitally native, subscription-based business where technology directly influenced growth, retention, customer experience, and enterprise value. I am most interested in:

  • Experience scaling a high-growth subscription business through new product launches, category expansion, and rapid growth.
  • A commercial mindset. You connect technology, data, AI, and digital product decisions to measurable business outcomes.
  • A builder mentality. You'd rather create and scale something than simply maintain it.
  • A player-coach leadership style. You can operate strategically while staying close enough to execution to make an impact.
  • Genuine curiosity around AI, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Comfort operating in environments where speed, experimentation, and accountability matter.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who understands how modern digital businesses scale and is excited by the opportunity to help build what comes next.

Before You Reach Out

The best way to be considered for this opportunity is to apply directly through LinkedIn. I review every application personally, so there is no advantage to being the first applicant, having a referral, or finding a creative way around the process. That said, if after applying you feel strongly that your background aligns with what we're looking for, you're welcome to reach out directly.

Please email your resume to [email protected] with the subject line: Head of Information Technology & Digital Growth

I'd especially love to hear from leaders who have helped scale subscription-based healthcare, telehealth, pharmacy, wellness, or consumer technology businesses from growth stage to scale, launching new products, expanding into new categories, and building the technology, data, and AI capabilities that fueled that growth.

Cheers,

MJ
