Position Summary

The Heavy Equipment Parts Specialist is responsible for managing, sourcing, and distributing parts for heavy machinery and equipment. This role ensures the timely availability of accurate parts to support maintenance and repair operations, while maintaining inventory control and providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external clients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Identify, source, and order parts for heavy equipment, including construction and industrial machinery
• Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels
• Assist technicians and customers in selecting the correct parts based on equipment specifications
• Process parts requests, purchase orders, and invoices efficiently
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts
• Track backorders and follow up on outstanding parts requests
• Maintain organized storage and proper labeling of parts inventory
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support regarding parts inquiries

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is an advantage
• Proven experience in parts management, preferably in heavy equipment or automotive industries
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment components and systems
• Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with manufacturer parts catalogs and ordering systems
• Basic mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
• Experience with ERP or inventory software

Work Environment

• Combination of warehouse and office setting
• May require lifting heavy parts and operating material handling equipment
