Job Description:
We are currently hiring for a Hog Procurement Trainee position for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a livestock production background.
Role Responsibilities
· Assist with livestock receiving activities including sorting, weighing, counting, and identification.
· Train alongside experienced hog buyers in the field.
· Learn hog procurement programs, carcass merit, harvest sheet information, and other buying procedures.
· Support scheduling and coordination of livestock deliveries.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or related livestrock background required.
· Livestock experience is preferred.
· Basic computer knowledge and strong communication skills required.
· Must be detail-oriented and open to overnight travel when needed.
Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
