Home Care Assistant
Shorehaven offers a full continuum of services for seniors. Our Life@Home program serves residents going back home from rehab in our Health Center as well as community clients.
We are currently seeking a caring individual with a flexible availability to care for our elderly clients. Scheduled hours will be dependent on our clients’ needs at that time. Shifts can be anywhere from 2-6 hours. Hours available for days but mostly PM shifts and weekends.
Job Duties:
– Drive client to and from doctor’s appointments and other errands
– Cook meals
– Assist client with dressing
– Handle light housekeeping
– Provide companionship
– Be an advocate for the client and share concerns with leadership
– Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
– High School diploma or equivalent
– Ability to work independently with remote supervision
– 18 years or older with a Wisconsin drivers license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation
– Experience in meal preparation and housekeeping
Enjoy interacting with clients in their homes! Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., and assist with transfers of adult clients. Related experience, especially with seniors is a plus. Customer service orientation is essential!
