Responsibilities
- Assist lead contractors with various remodeling tasks including carpentry, flooring, tile laying, and fixture installation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively on construction sites
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to support project execution
- Perform demolition, framing, drywall installation, plastering, stucco application, and concrete finishing as needed
- Support plumbing and electrical work by preparing materials and assisting licensed professionals
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes through regular inspections
- Help with restoration projects such as glass installation, cabinet mounting, door hanging, and masonry work
- Maintain a clean and organized job site by managing materials and tools efficiently
Experience
- Prior experience in construction or remodeling projects is highly preferred
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of various construction trades including carpentry, roofing, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, and welding
- Understanding of construction management principles and estimating processes is a plus
- Ability to work safely on construction sites while adhering to all safety protocols
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
