A growing hospice organization is seeking a Clinical Director to lead and execute clinical operations during a critical stage of development and growth.

Position Summary

The Clinical Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of hospice clinical services, ensuring compliance, quality, and operational efficiency across all clinical functions.

This role partners closely with the Executive Director to:

  • Align clinical operations with organizational strategy
  • Support decision-making with strong clinical insight
  • Build and sustain a high-performing clinical team

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all direct and indirect clinical services provided by hospice personnel
  • Lead and support Clinical Supervisors and interdisciplinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and CHAP standards
  • Oversee clinical documentation, audits, and record integrity
  • Participate in and lead performance improvement and QAPI initiatives
  • Interpret operational and census trends and collaborate on staffing and resource planning
  • Manage hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and terminations as needed
  • Develop and implement orientation, training, and ongoing education programs
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director on budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning
  • Support community outreach and referral development
  • Serve as acting Executive Director when required

Minimum Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada
  • College degree in Nursing required; Master’s preferred
  • Prior hospice leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of hospice regulations, Medicare Conditions of Participation, and CHAP standards
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise clinical and administrative staff
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
