Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. Your exceptional communication skills and customer service expertise will play a critical role in creating a positive dining experience. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow.
- Maintain an organized waitlist during busy periods, ensuring timely seating.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating excellent guest relations.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and entryway.
- Support food service operations as needed, including helping servers during peak times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help team members as needed.
