Job Summary

San Simeon by the Sound is seeking reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeepers to join our Environmental Services team. Housekeepers play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces.

• Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors and surfaces.

• Empty trash and replace liners as needed.

• Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection control protocols.

• Replenish supplies in resident rooms and common areas.

• Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and damaged equipment to the appropriate department.

• Follow established cleaning schedules and assignments.

• Adhere to infection control, safety, and OSHA guidelines.

• Maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy and dignity.

• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare, nursing home, hotel, or similar environment preferred but not required.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Schedule Requirements

• Must be available to work assigned weekends and holidays in accordance with facility needs and union contract requirements.

• Overtime opportunities may be available.
