Housekeeper/Custodial Technician Jobs in Artesia at Kastel Enterprises
Kastel Enterprises is hiring Housekeepers for a federal facility in Artesia, NM. You’ll be responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, and inspection-ready residential units in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position includes both housekeeping and laundry attendant duties. This is a great opportunity for dependable, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in their work.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize assigned residential rooms, common areas, and restrooms including toilets, sinks, showers, and fixtures
- Make beds, replace linens, and restock supplies
- Sweep, mop, dust, and empty trash receptacles
- Operate commercial laundry equipment to wash, dry, fold, and distribute clean linens and towels as needed
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly
- Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals according to SDS guidelines
- Maintain accountability of assigned cleaning equipment and supplies
- Complete daily work reports accurately and on time
Requirements
This position is located on a federal DHS/FLETC site. All employees must meet the following requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise authorized to work by the Department of Homeland Security
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English in compliance with Executive Order 14224
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation (personnel security/suitability determination through DCSA)
- Males under 26 must be registered with the Selective Service
- This is a federal zero-tolerance site — any use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or other incapacitating agents on duty or on site is grounds for immediate removal and termination
- Must comply with all federal facility conduct and access policies, including wearing a government-issued ID badge at all times while on site
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting up to 35 lbs, and pushing/pulling carts
- Reliable transportation to the Artesia, NM work site
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience — not required, we will train the right candidate
