Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused individual to join our vacation rental team as a Housekeeper & Property Inspector. This dual-role position plays a key part in ensuring our short-term rental properties are immaculately clean, fully stocked, and ready for guests, while also performing inspections to maintain high standards and prevent issues before they arise. You’ll be the final set of eyes before each guest arrives.
Key Responsibilities:
Housekeeping Duties (Approximately 50% of Role):
- Clean entire property between guest stays (bathrooms, kitchens, bedrooms, common areas).
- Change linens, make beds, and replenish guest supplies (toiletries, towels, hand/dish soaps, laundry/dishwasher pods, etc.).
- Take out any trash and recycling, and clean appliances (microwave, fridge, oven, etc.)
- Spot clean walls/baseboards/fans/windows as needed.
- Handle deep cleans and refreshes as needed.
- Ensure a warm, hotel-quality presentation in every room.
Inspection Duties (Approximately 50% of Role):
- Conduct detail walk-throughs post-cleaning to confirm guest-readiness.
- Check for damages, missing items, or maintenance issues and report to one of the on-duty managers.
- Verify smart locks, wifi, lights, AC/heat, fans, toilets, showers/faucets, TVs and any other appliances are functioning properly.
- Submit inspection reports/photos and communicate any issues quickly.
Requirements:
- Previous housekeeping or property maintenance experience required (vacation rental or hotel is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Must be trustworthy, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and same-day turnovers.
- Note: Weekends are required from now-September.
Preferred Qualities:
- Knowledge of short-term rental operations (Airbnb, Vrbo, etc.)
- Familiarity with hospitality standards and guest expectations.
- Ability to follow brand-specific standards or customized checklists.
Compensation:
Hourly rate: $20-22/hr based on experience.
Job Type: Seasonal
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour
