Downingtown’s “fix-it-first” company seeking EXPERIENCED LEAD INSTALLER
Tru North is looking for an energetic and forthright Apprentice to join our growing team. We are a rapidly growing company, who started in 2021 with just 5 staff, and has grown more than 1100% to 28 staff in 4 years.
We are seeking an honest and upright individual who has their EPA Card and is interested in making a lifetime career in the field of HVAC.
We want our apprentices to be like minded as we are, all dedicated to the work it takes to be a Master of their Craft.
At Tru North we focus on helping each other grow in our knowledge and in our ability to serve our community as a company that puts the “Fix It First” in the front of our minds.
We truly live that phrase. We will ABSOLUTELY Fix anything we can before we just offer to swap it out. We have a great team that enjoys working with each other, and the company has a very relaxed but busy vibe. As we are doing 2 to 3 installs a day, we find ourselves really looking for a great helper who has a deep desire to make HVAC their home. Someone who wants to work in a place where the staff push each other to learn and grow.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Must have EPA CARD
- Responsible for following direction given from leadership as well as team leads on jobsites
- pick up, lift and move, and inspect new equipment that comes straight from the manufacturer, to ensure there are no dents or broken parts, and that all necessary parts are on-hand before an install.
- supporting the teams who provide quality work on each install
- Helping with any tasks requested from driving to supply houses, to duct cleaning, to helping remove a boiler from a basement.
- Ability to speak professionally with homeowners
- Ensures a tidy and orderly workspace, leaving no messes behind.
- Pursue new knowledge and experience to learn from your fellow techs how to work at your fullest potential.
- Respect not only the homeowners’ property, but also the equipment provided by Tru North.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ideal candidates will have at least EPA licence
- Must have confidence in driving trucks, transits, cut aways, and high roof vehicles
- Soldering and brazing skills are a major plus!
- Must have the ability to lift at least 75lbs daily.
- Job requires sitting and standing for long periods of time, climbing ladders, and carrying equipment.
- Valid driver’s license needed
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance before each job while encouraging the rest of the team to follow suit.
- The ability to communicate in a positive manner to the team and to customers – on and off the jobsite.
- The ability to listen to delegation around the shop and on each job, ensuring the best results for our customers by assigning the team to the task at-hand.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
