Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure patient health and safety
- Administer medications accurately following care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Support patients with specialized needs such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, autism, or developmental disabilities through tailored care strategies
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary
- Operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to promote safe mobility and prevent injury during transfers
- Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, promptly reporting findings to healthcare professionals
- Maintain cleanliness of the home environment through light housekeeping and infection control practices to ensure a safe living space
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet each client’s unique needs
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement
Skills
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes setting
- Knowledge of patient care techniques including CPR, first aid, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism, or developmental disabilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when required
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition accurately
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
- Ability to follow detailed care plans meticulously while demonstrating compassion and patience

Pay: $14.00 – $17.00 per hour
