The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insulation and air sealing techniques, safety protocols, and project management. This position requires a hands-on approach, excellent communication skills and a commitment to high quality work.
Applicant Requirements:
Supervisor Experience Required – At least one year of experience leading a team in the construction industry is a must. The applicant must train and hold team members accountable to achieve a high standard of performance.
Project Management Skills – An ability to multi-task and problem solve to maintain a safe and efficient project site is required. We are NOT looking for someone just interested in project management and/or supervision, you will be working alongside the crew and managing the project.
At Least 1 Year Residential Construction – A minimum of one year of construction/carpentry experience is required. Must demonstrate safe use of power tools. The applicant must be comfortable working on a ladder and working on roofs.
Physically Fit – Able to life 50lbs overhead. Must pass a medical physical examination and wear a respirator. The applicant must be able to work in tight attics and crawl spaces, and work in hot/cold extreme temperatures.
Insulation Experience Desired (Not Required) – Experience with cellulose and spray foam insulation is preferred but not required. Paid training is provided to earn manufacture and industry recognized certifications.
Mechanically Inclined – Applicant will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment. Must have confidence working with hand tools to take apart and reassemble cellulose hopper and spray foam gun.
Professional Communication & Conduct – The applicant must demonstrate personable and professional conduct while being the point person for customers, sub contractors and co-workers.
Valid Driver’s License – Bonus points for a chauffeur license and experience driving a box truck.
Building Science Experience Desired (Not Required) – An understanding of building science principles including air sealing and insulating the building envelope and running blower door tests with a thermal infrared camera are preferred but not required. Paid training is provided to earn industry recognized certifications.
Pay Scale & Benefits:
The position starts at $25-$30 per hour, depending on the applicant’s experience and skill. After a 90 day training period you will transition to a pay for performance system where you can expect to make $70,000 – $100,000 a year.
We work Mon – Fri (no weekends). Start time is 7:00 AM and we typically end work around 4:00 PM. Paid lunch is provided.
