We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across inventory management, compliance, purchasing, accounting, and operational systems.
Position Summary
The Inventory Administrator will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, managing inventory transactions, supporting purchasing and production operations, and ensuring data integrity across multiple business systems. This position plays a critical role in maintaining state cannabis compliance and inventory traceability.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, proficient with spreadsheets, ERP/MRP software, accounting systems, and cannabis compliance platforms.
Candidates with graphic design experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as this role may occasionally support product documentation, packaging updates, marketing materials, and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile inventory records across warehouses and production facilities.
- Manage inventory movements, transfers, adjustments, cycle counts, and physical inventory audits.
- Ensure compliance with state cannabis regulations and inventory tracking requirements.
- Maintain accurate records within METRC and other cannabis inventory management platforms.
- Support purchasing, receiving, manufacturing, packaging, and distribution activities.
- Generate inventory, compliance, and operational reports.
- Ensure accurate item setup, product data maintenance, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to maintain inventory accuracy and product availability.
- Assist with data cleanup, process improvements, and system implementation projects.
- Support accounting functions related to inventory valuation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Help identify and resolve inventory discrepancies before they become compliance issues.
Required QualificationsTechnical Skills
- Advanced proficiency with math and accounting
- High level of computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Experience with cannabis compliance and inventory systems including METRC.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Professional Experience
- 2+ years of inventory control, inventory administration, purchasing, operations, accounting support, or related experience.
- Experience working in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, warehouse operations, or the cannabis industry preferred.
- Understanding of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Cannabis industry experience is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
The following skills are highly desirable:
- Experience with METRC compliance reporting and inventory reconciliation.
- Experience with Distru, Canix, or other cannabis ERP platforms.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Odoo, NetSuite, SAP Business One, Acumatica, Fishbowl, or similar platforms.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent.
- Experience using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Canva.
- Product photography or image editing for Label, packaging, or marketing material design
- Basic understanding of e-commerce product listings and digital asset management
