Overview
Wags & Whiskers is seeking a highly motivated, dependable, self-starter who can work with a team or independently. The candidate must be organized, have good judgment, and pay close attention to details. 25-30 hours per week. You must love dogs and cats.
Responsibilities:
– Provide daily care and attention to dogs and cats in the kennel
– Clean and sanitize kennel areas, including dog and cat rooms, bedding, dishes, play areas, and all common areas
– Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
– Administer medications as directed
– Exercise and socialize animals in a safe manner
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
Skills:
– Ability to handle animals safely and gently
– Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Patience and compassion when working with animals of different temperaments
– Basic knowledge of animal behavior and healthcare practices
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Pay: Up to $15.00 per hour
