Job Summary
At Hans & Franz Biergarten, we bring the heart and soul of Germany to Greenville! Known for our authentic German cuisine and vibrante atmosphere, we offer our guest a unique dining experience across our lively indoor restaurant and beautiful outside terrace. We are looking for a passionate, organized and motivating Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team and keep our culinary operations runniong flawlessly.
Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff on food safety standards, culinary techniques, and customer service excellence.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and supervise team performance to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
- Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu planning to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a fast paced restaurant environment.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with a strong background in team management and staff training.
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques, food safety protocols, and hospitality management best practices.
- Experience in managing food production for casual dining.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment.
- Excellent communication skills with experience in interviewing, training & development, and shift management.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
