Foreman
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Foreman to lead field crews on residential and commercial irrigation and landscaping projects. This position is responsible for overseeing installations, repairs, maintenance work, scheduling, troubleshooting, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with high-quality workmanship.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on field experience, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise irrigation and landscaping crews in the field
- Coordinate daily job assignments, materials, equipment, and project schedules
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, valves, controllers, pumps, piping, and drainage systems
- Read blueprints, layouts, and site plans to ensure proper system installation
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues related to irrigation systems
- Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and safety procedures
- Train and mentor technicians and laborers on proper techniques and jobsite expectations
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and customer communication
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks throughout project completion
- Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding timelines, repairs, and recommendations
- Assist with landscaping projects as needed, including grading, drainage, sod, planting, and outdoor improvements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of irrigation, landscaping, or related field experience preferred
- Previous foreman or crew leadership experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of irrigation controllers, pumps, valves, timers, plumbing, and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor as needed
- Strong communication and customer service skills
