Position Overview
A Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving residential and commercial landscapes to the standards of Montana Landscape Maintenance. This is an entry level position designed for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, and wants to build a career in the landscape industry.

Responsibilities
Landscape Maintenance
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns to company quality standards.
- Perform weed control and routine landscape bed maintenance.
- Install mulch, define natural bed edges, and improve overall landscape appearance.
- Prune shrubs, ornamental plants, and small trees as directed.
- Remove leaves, sticks, and debris so every property is left clean before departure.
- Assist with spring cleanups, fall cleanups, and other seasonal landscape services.
Equipment & Property Care
- Safely operate commercial landscaping equipment including mowers, string trimmers, backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, and other hand tools.
- Load, unload, organize, and properly care for company tools, equipment, trailers, and vehicles.
- Report damaged equipment or maintenance concerns promptly.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites.
Teamwork & Professionalism
- Arrive on time and prepared to work each day.
- Follow direction from Crew Leaders while actively seeking opportunities to improve.
- Communicate respectfully with teammates and clients.
- Represent Montana Landscape Maintenance professionally on every property.
Safety
- Follow all company safety procedures.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Operate equipment responsibly while protecting yourself, your teammates, client property, and the public.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs change.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements
This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling throughout the workday. Employees should be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds independently and heavier materials with assistance when appropriate.
Work is performed outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and sun. Employees regularly operate commercial landscaping equipment and work on uneven terrain. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required at all times.

Pay: $18.00 – $28.00 per hour
