Position Title: Head Baker / Lead Baker

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Head Baker to lead daily production in a high-volume key lime pie bakery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a repetitive, process-driven environment and takes pride in producing consistent, high-quality products at scale. The Head Baker will oversee a team of 2–3 junior bakers, maintain production standards, train staff, and ensure that every pie meets our quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production of key lime pies and related bakery products.
- Supervise, train, and mentor 2–3 junior bakers.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all products.
- Follow and enforce standardized recipes and production procedures.
- Manage production schedules to meet daily and seasonal demand.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate ingredient needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
- Perform quality checks throughout the production process.
- Assist with onboarding and training new bakery staff.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Work alongside the team during peak production periods.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional baking experience.
- Previous experience leading or supervising bakery staff preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product consistency.
- Comfortable performing repetitive production tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
