Position Summary
We are currently hiring Lead Teachers (Educator I & Educator II) who meet Wisconsin Registry qualifications and Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing requirements.
This position is responsible for planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, maintaining classroom compliance, and creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must meet Wisconsin Registry qualifications for Lead Teacher (Registry Level based on position – Educator I or Educator II)
- Completion of required DCF licensing training
- CPR/First Aid (or willing to obtain)
- Background check clearance per DCF regulations
- Knowledge of DCF child care licensing rules
- Experience working in a licensed child care center
Preferred:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Experience with WMELS
- Experience with lesson planning and child assessments
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Maintain compliance with Wisconsin DCF licensing regulations
- Ensure classroom ratios and supervision requirements are consistently met
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom
- Conduct daily communication with families
- Observe and document children’s development
- Work collaboratively with administration and team members
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development
- Model professionalism, reliability, and positive work ethic
