Job Summary

Duties
- Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to toddlers’ needs, incorporating curriculum development principles and literacy education strategies.
- Lead daily classroom activities that promote early childhood education standards, including social skills, motor skills, language acquisition, and early intervention techniques.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management practices that encourage cooperation and independence.
- Foster a nurturing environment that prioritizes child welfare, safety, and emotional well-being through attentive childcare and toddler care practices.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate children’s progress, developmental milestones, and any special education or early intervention requirements.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or aides to ensure consistent classroom management and high-quality teaching standards.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s development, assessments (including standardized testing where applicable), and daily activities to support ongoing learning goals.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Proven experience in classroom management within preschool or daycare settings, with a focus on toddlers.
- Expertise in curriculum development that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and Montessori methods.
- Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions among young children.
- Skilled in lesson planning tailored to individual learning styles and developmental stages of toddlers.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Familiarity with special education needs, early intervention programs, and child welfare protocols.
- Experience working with standardized testing procedures for early childhood assessment is a plus.
