Job Overview
Greater Meridian Health Clinic, Inc. seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, with experience across various clinical settings including long-term care, acute care, and community health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate nursing services, supporting patient recovery, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in healthcare delivery. Duties

  • Provide direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing routine assessments using medical terminology and physiology knowledge.
  • Support physicians and registered nurses in diagnostic evaluations, physical examinations, and medical documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
  • Manage patient intake, discharge planning, and coordinate care across various departments including geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
  • Conduct specimen collection and processing, perform venipuncture and phlebotomy, and assist with imaging procedures such as sonography or radiology when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of medical records and documentation.
  • Support emergency response efforts by managing airway management, ventilator support, and participating in triage during urgent or trauma situations.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state certification.
  • Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation.
  • Experience with IV insertion, medication administration—including injections—and basic life support (BLS).
  • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, infection control protocols, and patient assessment techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals of all ages including children (working with children or neonatal ventilator experience is a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with case management abilities to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
