Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers.
- Follow food safety management protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
- Assist with meal preparation, plating, and presentation to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean work station by adhering to cleaning schedules and sanitation standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service.
- Support dietary department needs by understanding dietary restrictions and accommodating special requests when necessary.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating strong food handling skills.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence.
- Experience with dietary aide tasks or dietary department procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
