Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to standardized recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, slicers, mixers, and other culinary tools
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in meal preparation for both daily service and catering events, ensuring timely delivery
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and address any issues promptly
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality in all food items prepared
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food service environment, including restaurant or catering settings
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep
- Familiarity with food safety management protocols and safety standards in production
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen team members
- Experience operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively

Pay: $17.00 – $23.00 per hour
