Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist with meal prep tasks, including chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients for efficient kitchen flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and handling protocols.
- Support the team during busy service hours by ensuring timely food preparation and plating.
- Follow all health regulations to ensure a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food delivery.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and proper knife skills is essential.
- Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly.
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
