Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist with meal prep tasks, including chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients for efficient kitchen flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and handling protocols.
  • Support the team during busy service hours by ensuring timely food preparation and plating.
  • Follow all health regulations to ensure a safe environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or issues.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food delivery.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of food handling safety practices and proper knife skills is essential.
  • Experience with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly.
  • Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning new skills and techniques.
