JOB DUTIES

UT Southwestern is seeking an experienced Logistics Lead to join our Logistics team; to play a key role in supporting world-class patient care through efficient supply chain operations. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong experience in hospital/healthcare logistics, supply chain, and/or inventory control, who thrives in fast-paced environments and demonstrates strong leadership, mentorship, communication, and problem-solving skills.

As a Hospital Logistics Lead, you will oversee inventory management, receiving and distribution of medical supplies and equipment, while guiding and supporting logistics staff through training, scheduling, and daily operational leadership. You will also help drive process improvements, maintain compliance and safety standards, and ensure clinical teams have the resources they need to deliver exceptional care.

Work Location: CUH Logistics – 4th Floor; Dallas Campus; occasional travel transport to satellite locations when needed.

Shift Requirement: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Required

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

1 year experience in Logistics and 1 year Leadership experience.

JOB DUTIES

Leads the day to day frontline operation for asset monitoring, tracking and replenishment for hospital units.

Completes departmental task such as, but not limited to, payroll, employee appreciation events, disciplinary action, organizing schedules and other related tasks.

First line of contact for all issues regarding timeliness of asset allocation and patient safety concerns with hospital assets.

Flexible with offering leading frontline operations of other departments as needed depending on hospital capacity needs.

Participates in selected steering committees when frontline input is requested for various hospital improvement initiatives.

Assists in maintaining adequate records and metrics on external vender performance and service against preset milestones.

Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; b) Directly interacting with or caring for human-subjects research participants; c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records (including patient financial records); or d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human-subjects research records.

Performs other duties as assigned.
