Long distance delivery driver Jobs in Vestal at Right Turn Clyde LLC
Tired of having your supervisor hover over your shoulder telling you you’re not performing up to company standards? I am looking for motivated people to deliver medication to nursing homes throughout New York state. As an independent contractor you will be your own boss.
-Do you have a dependable vehicle? I ask this because you will be using your own vehicle.
-Are you at least 21 years old
-Are you willing to drive in all kinds of weather?
-Are you willing to drive longer distances (300-400+ miles per day)
-Do you have a clean driving record? (no more than one at fault accident, no DWIs)
– As I already mentioned we drive in all kinds of weather, so if you’re not comfortable for example driving in snow, this might not be a good fit for you.
-We work all weekends and holidays. You may not need to work every weekend and all of the holidays however I would need you to pick up some of them.
-If you have an LLC, great! If not you can subcontract under mine no problem.
This is not your typical delivery job. You wont be asked to drive around in circles while trying to find 100+ addresses every day.. dropping off packages while your dispatcher is asking you why you’re not done yet. We send you on routes that are longer distances (Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, etc) and you will only have 3 to 7 stops to make. No residential addresses.
You will be delivering medication from a pharmacy in Vestal to nursing homes. Easy to find, usually large buildings and a big sign out front.
* This is not a drop and go delivery job. You will need to get a signature from the nurse on duty, and if she or he is busy with a patient, you may have to wait a few minutes. Also if the nurse wants to check the medication against the packing slip inside the bag, you will be waiting a little longer.
Our routes pay a flat rate based on mileage and number of stops. (Except for STAT deliveries. They pay I believe a dollar a mile.) ​
You will be classified as an independent contractor (1099 tax form & no taxes deducted from your weekly settlement). You can work as much or as little as want to & will be able to write off the mileage you drive when you file your taxes. If you drive around 40-45 hours per week, you can bring home around $800/$900… If you’re a workaholic and don’t require a lot of sleep, you could double that.. at least depending on the work we have available.
