Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings. Duties
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physiology evaluations, and medical history reviews to inform care plans.
- Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols and ensure proper documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Conduct venipuncture and IV insertions with precision to facilitate medication delivery and diagnostic testing.
- Monitor patients’ responses to treatments, manage medical equipment, and adjust care as needed to optimize outcomes.
- Maintain detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical terminology standards for clear communication among healthcare teams.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams in various settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, or post-acute care facilities.
- Support infection control protocols and assist in emergency situations using Basic Life Support (BLS) skills while maintaining a calm and focused demeanor.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems efficiently for documentation of patient care activities and medical records management.
- Engage in patient education regarding treatment plans, medication administration, and health maintenance strategies tailored to diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
Experience
- Prior experience working in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care environments with a focus on patient assessment and rapid response.
- Experience caring for infectious diseases or managing complex cases such as those found in PICU or sub-acute care settings.
- Background working within medical-surgical units or outpatient clinics with a solid understanding of anatomy and physiology principles.
- Proven ability to perform IV insertions, venipuncture, and medication administration accurately under pressure.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation of patient data and medical records management.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and security of patient information at all times.
- Strong communication skills with experience coordinating care across multidisciplinary teams in inpatient or outpatient settings.
