Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Lumber Yard Worker to join our production team. This position involves stacking, sorting, and preparing lumber for shipment in a fast-paced mill or warehouse environment.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, physically capable, and able to work efficiently as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Stack and sort lumber by size and grade
- Inspect wood for defects or damage
- Band and prepare lumber bundles for shipment
- Keep work area clean and organized
- Follow all workplace safety procedures
- Assist machine operators and production staff as needed
Requirements
- Ability to lift a considerable amount repeatedly without issue
- Able to bend, lift, twist without issue
- Comfortable standing for long periods
- Reliable transportation and attendance
- Manufacturing, warehouse, or lumber experience preferred
- Forklift experience is a plus but not required
Pay
- Starting at $17.50/hour.
- Increase in pay and benefits for candidates hired on directly with client
Schedule
- 6:00AM-2:30PM
- Monday–Friday
