Full-Time Lumber Yard Associate & Delivery Driver

Marv’s True Value is looking for a reliable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Full-Time Lumber Yard Associate and Delivery Driver. This position combines hands-on customer service in our lumber yard with delivery responsibilities to ensure our customers receive the materials they need—when they need them. We are a Employee Owned business that is proud to operate in Princeton, MN. We’re celebrating our 60 years in business.
Position Responsibilities
Lumber Yard Duties
- Assist customers in the lumber department with inquiries and purchases
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering product recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lumber yard and warehouse area
- Stock and replenish lumber and building materials as needed
- Help customers locate, load, and secure products
- Follow all company safety protocols and guidelines
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs regularly
Delivery Driver Duties
- Transport materials and products to customer locations in a safe and timely manner
- Load and unload materials using forklifts and other equipment
- Inspect loads to ensure accuracy and secure transport
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding deliveries
- Assist in the yard when not making deliveries
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with Air Brakes endorsement and a clean driving record (required)
- Experience operating forklifts, delivery trucks, or similar equipment preferred
- Knowledge of lumber and building materials is a plus
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and navigate delivery routes
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written English)
- Dependable, team-oriented, and customer-focused
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and repetitive tasks
Schedule & Benefits
- Full-Time, Varied shifts and every other weekend.
- Start time varies whether opening or closing.
- Overtime available during peak seasons
