Kadence is recruiting ML Researchers/Scientists in the healthcare space in the Bay Area.
Frontier AI Systems | Small, High-Caliber Team
We’re hiring exceptional ML researchers and engineers to work on large-scale models and real-world AI systems, from pretraining and scaling to post-training and deployment.
What You’ll Do
- Train and scale foundation models (LLMs, multimodal, or domain-specific)
- Work on pretraining, optimization, and distributed systems
- Build post-training systems (fine-tuning, alignment, evaluation)
- Develop end-to-end ML systems with real-world feedback loops
What We’re Looking For
- PhD (or equivalent) in ML, CS, Math, Physics, etc. from a top institution
- 1 – 4+ years experience in ML research or applied AI
- Strong in deep learning (transformers, generative models)
Experience in one or more of:
- large-scale pretraining
- distributed training / scaling
- post-training/alignment
- Strong coding skills (Python + C++ / Rust preferred)
- Proven ability to build and train models, not just apply them

Company compensating between $200,000 base to $400,000 base, depending on experience, before equity.
