We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Lead to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of two biogas production facilities. This role is ideal for an experienced industrial maintenance professional who enjoys balancing technical troubleshooting with maintenance planning, inventory management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Maintenance Lead provides day-to-day coordination and technical support to the maintenance team, helping prioritize work, improve equipment reliability, and maintain accurate maintenance records. While this position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it serves as a technical leader and key resource for maintenance and operations personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning & Reliability
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities across two biogas production facilities.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules, work plans, and shutdown activities.
- Prioritize maintenance work to maximize plant uptime and equipment reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment issues and provide technical support to operations.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Assist with root cause investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented and tracked.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness.
CMMS & Documentation
- Administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate work orders, equipment history, and maintenance records.
- Maintain compliance documentation, inspection records, calibration records, and audit support materials.
- Develop, implement, and improve maintenance procedures, SOPs, and standardized maintenance practices.
- Prepare maintenance performance reports and monitor key reliability and maintenance KPIs.
Inventory & Procurement
- Maintain MRO inventory, critical spare parts programs, and inventory controls.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to source maintenance materials, spare parts, equipment, and contractor services.
- Expedite orders and communicate supply delays or shortages to appropriate stakeholders.
- Support procurement of maintenance materials, contractor services, and capital replacement equipment.
- Coordinate contractor scheduling, work scopes, safety documentation, and invoice verification.
Safety & Team Support
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and housekeeping through personal leadership and example.
- Assist in training team members on maintenance procedures, SOPs, and safe work practices.
- Identify training opportunities that support employee development.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- Five (5) or more years of industrial maintenance experience with demonstrated lead responsibilities.
- Broad knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating preventive maintenance programs and maintenance planning.
- Experience using a CMMS.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Preferred
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in the biogas, renewable energy, wastewater, or similar process industries.
- Experience using Fiix CMMS.
- PLC troubleshooting and maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of industrial health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Work Environment
This position works in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments and will be exposed to varying weather conditions, high noise levels, dust, odors, machinery, and process gases. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work from heights.
- Ability to safely work in hot, cold, wet, dusty, and odor-producing environments.
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to wear required PPE, including hearing protection, safety glasses, hard hat, reflective vest, gloves, and safety-toed boots.
