Maintenance Supervisor/Industrial Electrician Jobs in Rutherfordton, NC at Confidential
We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor with strong industrial electrical and troubleshooting experience to support a manufacturing operation in Rutherford County, NC.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working alongside the maintenance team while helping coordinate daily maintenance activities, equipment repairs, preventive maintenance programs, and facility improvements.
This is a working supervisor role, not a desk position. The successful candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting equipment, repairing electrical systems, and leading maintenance efforts to keep production running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems and controls
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Support PLC troubleshooting and machine controls
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance work orders
- Assist with scheduling preventive maintenance activities
- Support installation and startup of new equipment
- Work with production personnel to minimize downtime
- Maintain maintenance records and parts inventory
- Promote safe work practices and compliance with company safety procedures
- Provide leadership and guidance to maintenance personnel
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with 480V 3-phase electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience with motors, drives, sensors, relays, contactors, and controls
- Mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred
- PLC troubleshooting experience preferred
- Previous lead or supervisory experience is a plus
- Welding and fabrication skills are beneficial but not required

Work Schedule
Primarily first shift, with flexibility to respond to equipment emergencies when necessary.
