Maintenance Technician Jobs in Lima, USA at Confidential
Local company seeking a maintenance technician to provide repair and installation services for residential rental properties in the Greater Lima region. Ability to work independently, interact with residents effectively, and maintain a productive work schedule is required.
Knowledge: basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and residential construction systems is required.
Skills:
ability to perform small electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs and tasks. _
Note:
while experience and knowledge in all of these areas is preferred, an applicant who is proficient is some areas and willing to learn other skills is encouraged to apply._
Abilities:
1. Organization-ability to organize tools/equipment, job materials and scheduling to insure that work is completed correctly and on time; completion of all paperwork, including time cards, expenditure reports, and job reports correctly and on-deadline.
2. Communication ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, residents, and suppliers to achieve desired job outcomes.
3. Problem-solving-ability to identify the most cost effective way to solve maintenance and repair issues in a residential environment, while maintaining a high level of safety and sanitation in the living environment.
4. Judgement ability to discern when to ask for help and/or make recommendations for a different solution that is beyond technician’s capabilities; ability to effectively manage resident requests and expectations while providing excellent customer service.
5. Physical ability to lift at least 70 pounds; ability to work standing, sitting, kneeling, squatting, and laying to accomplish tasks; ability to work on ladders and roofs;
Other requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license, must provide transportation and tools. (Employer will cover fuel expense.)
