Maintenance Technician – 2nd shift Jobs in St. Louis, MO at Elantas PDG
ELANTAS PDG (EPDG) is looking for a Maintenance Technician to work 2nd shift (2:30-11pm) in our St. Louis, MO location. This role performs maintenance PM services, provides support to production departments and facilities as well as general housekeeping in a chemical manufacturing facility. Scope of work is of a varied nature with minimum supervision. This position will be Monday – Friday, with minimal off – shift or weekend work required.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include:
- Water monitoring/testing of boilers
- Support all production departments
- Maintenance of various facility systems – including, but not limited to pipefitting, mechanical troubleshooting and repair of gearboxes, pumps, etc.
- General housekeeping as assigned
- General PM inspections as assigned
- Equipment Lubrication duties as assigned
- Daily documentation of work performed
- Scheduling/coordination with outside contractors to perform non-routine tasks
- Assist the organization to create a safe and healthy working environment by working safely, using equipment provided and following instructions given for health and safety purposes and immediately reporting any unsafe working practices or hazardous working conditions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, knowledge and experience desired:
- Must be able to effectively deal with internal and external customers of the company.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Maintenance experience preferred (electrical experience a plus)
- Technical training in a maintenance related field is preferred
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be able to work in respirator – requires passing physical
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. occasionally
