Job Overview
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED, proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team in commercial/residential maintenance. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable environment by performing routine inspections, troubleshooting issues, and executing repairs across a variety of systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical knowledge and technical skills in a fast-paced setting, supporting our commitment to operational excellence. This position also requires to be on call during weekends for emergency purposes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, electrical equipment, and plumbing to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on appliances, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems, and mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Troubleshoot complex equipment failures by analyzing system diagrams and schematics to determine root causes.
- Repair or replace faulty parts on mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems to ensure continuous operation.
- Assist with construction or renovation projects by providing technical support and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, lead small projects when necessary, and promote a culture of safety and efficiency.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair and equipment troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams.
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and related controls.
- Demonstrated service technician experience with a focus on maintenance and repair tasks.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
- Leadership qualities that enable guidance of junior team members or apprentices when needed.
- Construction experience is a plus for supporting facility upgrades or modifications.
