Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment
- Conduct lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
- Maintain landscape features through planting, pruning, tree trimming, and landscape maintenance projects
- Operate hand tools, power tools, excavators, and other machinery safely and efficiently for construction or landscaping projects
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access around the property
- Support hardscape projects including the installation or repair of walkways, patios, retaining walls, or other outdoor structures
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various equipment and systems
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and landscaping machinery such as excavators or snow plows
- Knowledge of horticulture practices including gardening, tree care, lawn care, and landscape maintenance
- Experience with irrigation systems, snow removal techniques, and hardscape installation or repair
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude toward maintenance challenges
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on work completed
