Operational Excellence Manager
Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager is responsible for executing strategic initiatives and advancing organizational capabilities in support of Nadler Modular’s Operational Excellence program. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and leadership to implement operational improvements that enhance quality, productivity, labor efficiency, and cost optimization.
The OpEx Manager serves as a key change agent, fostering a culture rooted in safety, accountability, proactive problem-solving, and continuous improvement. This position plays a critical role in establishing scalable, sustainable, and best-in-class operational practices across the organization.
The role includes leading performance analysis, conducting gap assessments, identifying improvement opportunities, and driving the implementation of process enhancements across critical business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion the deployment of operational best practices across all business segments.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to map processes, analyze performance data, and identify root causes of operational challenges.
- Design and implement process improvement solutions that drive measurable gains in efficiency, customer satisfaction, product quality, and overall profitability.
- Develop and manage a monthly KPI reporting framework, including analysis, issue identification, and actionable improvement plans.
- Serve as a change agent by promoting cultural transformation and driving the adoption of new tools, techniques, and operational methodologies.
- Facilitate cross-training initiatives to strengthen organizational capability, promote knowledge sharing, and enhance team performance.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure compliance with procedures, standards, and metrics related to quality, safety, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required.
Experience and Qualifications
- 5–10 years of progressive experience supporting Operational Excellence initiatives in a project-based or individual contributor capacity.
- Demonstrated success in delivering measurable performance improvements and driving change across multiple functional areas.
- Experience within an equipment rental organization preferred; modular industry experience strongly desired.
- Lean and/or Six Sigma experience strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Proficient in standard business and data analysis tools.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel approximately 25–50% as needed.
Work Environment
This position primarily works in an office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. This position will need to be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs.
