Overview
Marketing & Community Coordinator Jobs in United States at Chiral Audio
Title: Marketing & Community Coordinator
Company: Chiral Audio
Location: United States
Marketing & Community Coordinator, Freelance
Chiral Audio is an independent audio plugin studio building mechanism-first tools for music producers and sound designers. Each plugin is built from the governing equation of a real physical or mathematical system: Kuramoto synchronization in Foxfire, logistic growth in Autocatalysis, Korteweg-de Vries wave behavior in Soliton, and the Boltzmann distribution in Boltzmann (to name a few).
The products are live. The site, checkout, license delivery, demos, research notes, press kit, and marketplace listing materials already exist. The bottleneck is attention. I am currently doing product, engineering, support, marketing, content, distribution, and operations myself. I need a freelance operator who can help turn the existing material into reach.
This is a contract role for someone who understands music production culture, can write clearly, can move without hand-holding, and is comfortable working with a technical founder.
What You'll Do
- Turn existing product pages, demos, research notes, and visuals into social posts, short-form video concepts, forum posts, emails, and outreach material.
- Help manage Chiral’s presence across Instagram, YouTube, Discord, Reddit, KVR, Plugin Boutique, and other audio/plugin communities. If Discord proves useful, help drive engagement into the channel and make it worth staying in.
- Coordinate marketplace submissions and listing maintenance for KVR, Plugin Boutique, and similar channels.
- Identify producers, sound designers, educators, YouTubers, newsletter writers, and reviewers who would plausibly care about mechanism-first audio tools.
- Draft and send outreach messages that sound like Chiral, not generic SaaS marketing.
- Help schedule demo drops, research-note announcements, launch posts, discount campaigns, and community updates.
- Track what actually works: clicks, replies, coupon usage, sales attribution, community growth, creator responses, and content performance.
- Surface feedback from users and communities so it can influence product, docs, demos, and future launches.
What This Is Not
This is not a corporate social media role.
This is not growth-hacking theater.
This is not “post three times a week and hope.”
The job is to find the people most likely to care, put the work in front of them with taste, and learn from the response.
Who We're Looking For
- You understand music producers, sound designers, plugin culture, and electronic music communities.
- You can write concise copy without sounding like LinkedIn or AI. If we wanted generic AI-written outreach, we could do that ourselves. The human touch remains special.
- You are comfortable with technical products and can explain them without flattening them into buzzwords.
- You can make simple assets from existing materials: clips, captions, carousels, email blurbs, post drafts, outreach lists.
- Skilled in Adobe design software and/or Figma.
- You are organized enough to track outreach, follow-ups, links, and results.
- You can operate independently but know when to ask for judgment calls.
- You take pride in your work and generating genuine interest.
Bonus Points
- Experience marketing audio plugins, sample packs, music tools, synths, DAW content, or creator products.
- Familiarity with KVR, Gearspace, Reddit music-production communities, Plugin Boutique, YouTube plugin reviewers, or producer Discords.
- Basic video editing.
- Basic email marketing.
- Comfort with SEO/GEO, content repurposing, or press outreach.
- You produce music yourself.
Engagement
This is a freelance contract position with no guaranteed hours or duration.
Estimated workload is 5-10 hours/week to start.
Remote. Work from anywhere within the United States, on your own schedule.
Paid hourly, with potential performance bonuses or revenue sharing dependent on quantitative success metrics.
Chiral Audio is early, real, and founder-operated. The right person will help build the distribution layer around products that already exist and those that are in development.
Compensation
For this role, we expect to provide cash compensation at an hourly rate of $20-$40 per hour.
