Duties
- Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to target specific muscle groups and alleviate pain
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals
- Apply knowledge of physiology and anatomy to develop customized treatment plans that promote healing and relaxation
- Educate patients on self-care practices, occupational health tips, and pain management strategies to support ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed treatment records in compliance with medical terminology standards and privacy regulations
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to proper hygiene practices and following CPR protocols when necessary
- Provide exceptional patient service by creating a welcoming environment, listening attentively, and addressing client questions or concerns
Qualifications
- Proven experience in massage therapy with a focus on medical or spa settings; med spa experience is highly desirable
- Certification in massage therapy from an accredited program; current CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage
- Skilled in various techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic modalities
- Ability to perform patient assessment accurately and develop effective treatment plans based on individual needs
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Knowledge of occupational health principles related to workplace ergonomics and injury prevention
