2. About the Opportunity:
The Member Advocate- Support Specialist plays a critical frontline role by directly interacting with Members to ensure an exceptional customer experience. This position is responsible for addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and advocating for Members, often managing complex concerns in coordination with clinical leadership. The role supports the organization’s mission by facilitating access to care and maintaining high satisfaction through thorough follow-through and timely communication.
3. Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly and professionally to Member inquiries via phone, email, text, and chat
• Educate Members on services and basic treatment information
• Provide accurate details about products, pricing, and policies
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently with a positive attitude
• Help Members reschedule services and transfer therapists
• Assist Members with technology-related questions
• Document patient demographic, referral, insurance, and contact information
• Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity
• Collaborate with departments to resolve complex customer problems
• Maintain detailed records of interactions in the CRM system
• Follow organizational policies and procedures for compliance and service standards
• Support high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Ensure confidentiality and security in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
4. Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree recommended
• Proven experience in customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Empathy and a genuine desire to help customers
• Ability to maintain professionalism in high-stress situations
• Proficiency with customer service software and EHR systems
• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required
• Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer experience
• Comfort and efficiency with technology
• Experience or knowledge in healthcare, mental healthcare, or insurance is a plus
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
