Summit Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and qualified 6th-8th Grade Teacher to join our Homeschool Enrichment team for the 2026-2027 school year. This position teaches composition, Latin, math, nature studies and history, one day a week between 8:30am-3pm at our Monument, CO location.

Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
- Teach Singapore Math, composition, Latin, nature studies and history using the Memoria Press curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons,
- Enter attendance, grades and assignments into the LMS
- Foster an organized, respectful and Christ-loving classroom environment that focuses on the good, true and beautiful.
- Create a positive and supportive culture that believes in home discipleship and loves encouraging homeschool families.
- Consistently exhibit spiritual maturity and be a role model of Christian love, faith, truthfulness, and virtue, both in the classroom and in your personal life.
- Have a thorough knowledge of and interest in the subjects assigned to teach
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues.
Knowledge Skills and Ability Required:

Requirements:
- 5 years of teaching experience in the age/subject you are teaching (homeschool counts!)
- Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to student success
- Proficiency in using technology in a Learning Management System for lessons, grading and attendance.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
- Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
Preferences:
- Understanding of Classical Education & homeschool experience preferred
- Teaching certification not required.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Compensation: $45/hr is the pay for this role. This job is also eligible for bonus pay and medical benefits. Tuition discounts are available for your children enrolled in our program(s).
