Job Overview
This individual will aim to improve employment stability and income growth as a pathway to long-term housing stability for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness and instability. You will be responsible for enrolling and collaborating with the participants to develop individualized stability plans tailored to their goals and needs. You will assist with resume writing, job application assistance, interview preparation, job readiness training, financial coaching, credentialing opportunities, supportive case management and conduct weekly progress meetings with the participants. You will be responsible for in-take packets, file system, HMIS entries and extensive data collection. Employment services will be conducted at partner locations at least once a week where participants can also be screened for public benefits.

DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Collect Data
  • Conduct intake of clients
  • Work closely with participants to establish individualized goals
  • Create a baseline for progress
  • Takes responsibility for personal stability at all times, and models self-responsibility.
  • Monitor outcomes of the participants through client engagement.
  • Provide employment services at partner locations.
  • Screen participants for public benefit eligibility.
  • Resume support.
  • Job coaching.
  • Soft-skills presentations.
  • Arrange job fairs
  • 100% traveling.
  • Work closely with other CRR departments (housing, alternative).

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic proficiency in database software; Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Knowledge and experience in data management, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

Language Skills

Ability to read and write at a professional level: to read, analyze, interpret and implement general business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, and write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to gather data, analyze information and interpret information to build useful and required reports or presentations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Interest in helping people overcome barriers to stability and ability to motivate others to gain self-sufficiency.
  • Valid DL- Clear Driving Record Required
  • 2 years of experience working with a non-profit organization or community organization.
  • At least one year providing employment work development services.
  • Experience developing employment opportunities for 2nd chance clients.
  • Experience working with employers and building relationships.

3. Read, understand, and follow CRR Policies and Procedures

4. Maintain appropriate levels of documents regarding files, reports, correspondence, personnel, and financial paperwork

5. Attend meetings as scheduled

6. Communicate proactively and professionally with peers and stakeholders through phone and email.

7. Follow all regulatory requirements for reporting suspected abuse or neglect

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
