Role Description The Online Marketing Assistant is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting the growth and engagement of the AI and ML Malaysia community. Day-to-day tasks include assisting in planning and executing online marketing campaigns across social media, email, and community platforms to promote events, content, and initiatives. The role involves creating and scheduling posts, coordinating with organizers and speakers, and monitoring campaign performance metrics. The Online Marketing Assistant will help manage online communities, respond to inquiries, and support basic promotional activities related to workshops, webinars, and knowledge-sharing sessions. This position works closely with the core team to ensure consistent messaging, timely updates, and an inclusive online presence.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication and the ability to adapt messages to different audiences.
- Practical knowledge of online marketing and digital marketing, including social media platforms, basic analytics, and content promotion.
- Understanding of marketing and sales principles, with the ability to support lead generation, audience growth, and community engagement.
- Interest in or familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or technology communities is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines for part-time commitments.
- Experience with basic design or content tools (e.g., Canva, simple video editing, email marketing platforms) is a plus.
- Prior experience in online community management, event promotion, or tech-focused marketing is an advantage but not required.
