This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operations professional to lead hands-on performance improvement initiatives across multiple manufacturing sites. In this role, you will work directly with plant leadership and frontline teams to identify operational constraints, implement sustainable process improvements, and drive measurable business results. Combining analytical expertise with shop floor execution, you will help optimize productivity, capacity, and operational efficiency while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, influence change at every level of the organization, and play a key role in scaling operational excellence practices across a dynamic manufacturing network. This remote position offers significant travel and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on operational performance nationwide.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct operational diagnostics to identify bottlenecks, workflow inefficiencies, scheduling challenges, and performance constraints using operational data and direct observation.
  • Lead the hands-on implementation of operational excellence initiatives, including SMED, centerlining, bottleneck management, campaign optimization, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Partner closely with operators, engineers, supervisors, and site leadership to deploy solutions, stabilize new processes, and ensure sustained operational improvements.
  • Support daily management systems, tier meetings, and continuous improvement routines while fostering accountability and execution discipline.
  • Analyze operational metrics such as OEE, throughput, inventory, scheduling, and capacity to generate actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
  • Monitor execution progress, track realized benefits, identify performance leakage, and collaborate with finance teams to validate operational improvements.
  • Document successful practices, standardize proven methodologies, and support the replication of best practices across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Coach site teams to strengthen problem-solving capabilities, operational discipline, and long-term continuous improvement ownership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, operational excellence, industrial engineering, or operations consulting.
  • Demonstrated success delivering measurable improvements in throughput, OEE, capacity utilization, operational consistency, and manufacturing performance.
  • Proven experience implementing and sustaining operational excellence methodologies, including SMED, bottleneck management, centerlining, daily management systems, and structured problem solving.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting operational data to improve manufacturing performance; advanced Excel proficiency required, with Power BI, SQL, or Python considered an asset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build credibility across both leadership teams and frontline operations.
  • Experience measuring operational benefits, preventing value leakage, and driving accountability for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically up to 75%.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship.
