Job Description
The Japanese Club is a fast-growing online language school helping people become fluent in Japanese through immersive programs. We’re looking for a motivated and fast-acting Setter to join our remote sales team.
Your mission is simple: when a prospect books a call, you pick up the phone and call them within the hour. You qualify them, identify the right program for their goals, and book an R1 appointment with one of our closers. Speed and consistency win here.
Responsibilities
- Call prospects as quickly as possible after they book a call (target: under 1 hour).
- Qualify leads based on their goals, budget, and timeline.
- Match prospects with the right program (3-month, 6-month, or 12-month Japanese immersion).
- Book qualified R1 calls with our closing team.
- Confirm appointments with reminders to maximize show-up rates.
- Follow up with no-shows and reschedule.
Compensation (100% Commission-Based)
Per sale closed by our closers via your R1s:
- 3-Month Program (€2,000) → €100 per sale
- 6-Month Program (€3,000) → €150 per sale
- 12-Month Program (€5,000) → €250 per sale
Monthly Show-Up Bonus (min. 15 R1s booked):
- 70% show-up rate → €100 bonus
- 80% show-up rate → €200 bonus
- 90%+ show-up rate → €300 bonus

Requirements
- Comfortable and confident on the phone.
- Fast, organized, and autonomous — you don’t wait to be told what to do.
- Performance-driven — you’re motivated by results and commissions.
- Reliable and consistent — you show up every day and follow through.
- Fluent in English.
- Previous experience in setting, SDR, or phone sales is a plus but not required.
