Duties
- Operate packaging machinery and hand tools to assemble and package products accurately and efficiently
- Inspect finished goods for quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Follow detailed packaging procedures in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and FDA regulations
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to monitor and control automated packaging systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packaging area, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on packaging equipment as needed
- Use forklift trucks to move raw materials or finished products within the warehouse or production area
- Support warehouse operations by preparing products for shipment, labeling, and documentation
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments preferred, especially in packaging or assembly roles
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Familiarity with FDA regulations, CGMP standards, and safety protocols within a manufacturing setting
- Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automated systems
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods in a fast-moving environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to packaging processes and equipment maintenance
