THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE YOUR OWN VEHCILE IN GOOD SHAPE, IT ENTAILS PRIMARILY RESIDENTIAL JOBS THORUGHOUT THE CHICAGOLAND AREA.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, stain, and coatings to a variety of surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces, enhance aesthetics, and ensure quality finishes that meet client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, develop your skills in multiple painting techniques, and contribute to the beautification and restoration of various structures.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and patching to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other coatings using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers (including airless paint spraying), and power tools
- Read scope of work and or construction drawings to determine project scope
- Perform surface preparation tasks including plastering, caulking, and drywall finishing for smooth results
- Execute renovation projects involving trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, and restoration work on existing structures
- Maintain safety standards on construction sites by following protocols related to scaffolding and ladders and hazardous materials handling
Skills
- Proficiency in residential and commercial painting techniques
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and maintenance of painting tools
- Skilled in plastering, caulking, drywall hanging and taping.
- Ability to read schematics and construction drawings accurately to execute detailed work plans
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to project scope
- Knowledge of carpentry including trim carpentry, frame carpentry, fixture installation, and remodeling projects
- Handyman experience with general maintenance tasks on construction sites or buildings
- Ability to work safely at heights using scaffolding or ladders while adhering to safety protocols

Pay: $23.00 – $32.00 per hour
