Parts Counter Specialist
Location: Old Saybrook, CT – On-site
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am-5pm; Saturday, 8am-12pm (46.5hrs/week)

Job Purpose
As a Parts Counter Specialist, you’ll be the go-to resource for customers and technicians, ensuring they get the right parts quickly and accurately. This role combines customer service, inventory management, and technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional manner
- Answer phone calls, provide price quotes, and process orders
- Pull and fill orders from stock; tag parts with customer/job info
- Receive, shelve, and replenish inventory daily
- Locate and order out-of-stock parts as needed
- Notify service advisors and customers when special orders arrive
- Verify and manage back-order files weekly
- Process payments and ensure accurate invoicing
- Issue credits for returned parts with proper documentation
- Maintain clean and organized counter and stock areas
- Stay current on new products and updates
- Participate in training programs and maintain professional appearance
Requirements
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, inventory systems)
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Comfortable with physical tasks (standing, bending, lifting)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in parts sales or inventory management (dealership or parts store)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus
- Willingness to learn about our products
